Why is this lesson series free?

These series provide focused fundamental materials that can be applied to music & drumming for a lifetime.  Regardless of your skill level, there is always something new to discover about yourself within these techniques. These lessons don't venture too far outside the scope of the technique being taught.  We offer private lessons for a less rigid curriculum.  This series, however, is more like going to the gym so you can live strong every day.  You can use it as your boot camp or as your introduction to our other programs. Our current series: Alan Dawson's Rudimental RItual

Private Lessons vs. Group Lessons

Group lessons will be designed as the program progresses and as students agree to similar timeframes. Please talk to Granville Mullings, Jr. about group lessons during your introductory lessons.  We would prefer to pair students in similar level groups. If a common time can be found, group lessons times may be extended, commensurate to students needs (up to 1 hour).

I Really Enjoy This Series! Can I Pay For It?!

We are a for-profit entity, so we won't turn away money!

However, there is no recommended price-point. We want to make sure that this lesson series is made available to students in the immediate community (Harlem) who are interested in studying music, but may not see the value in paying for lessons.

All donations are powerful and will ensure that we can continue this program in upcoming years. Look for the "Change the Rhythm" container when you come in for your lesson. Thank You. :)
